20 Questions
(my mother asked my sister)

A mother has it in her mind for her daughter to marry the "right" kind of man. Accordingly, the most effective strategy for some might be to ask 20 questions that will split the field of remaining possibilities roughly in half at each answer.

The questions in this book are in common parental use still, I think, but the answers are sometimes not what a mother would expect. The "worst case scenario" is always in the back of her mind but with the occasional little surprise in the end.

I had a lot of fun making this book and finally had the chance to use some of my vintage magazine clippings many of which I had cut in the early 1960s, with my own five year old hands.

Twenty Questions was produced using images mostly from the artist's collection of 1960's magazine clippings and found clippings with added hand drawn bits and some digital manipulation.
